Russian Ag Ministry cuts ’15 crop fade forecast to 7.8% of whole area
MOSCOW, May 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian Agriculture Ministry has reduced the forecast for winter crop fading for 2015 by 500,000 hectares to 1.3 million hectares, which is 7.8% of the entire sown area, according to a statement seen by PRIME Thursday.
The forecast for the spring crop sown area remained at 51.8 million hectares, which is 0.6% lower than in 2014.
The grain harvest forecast is still 100 million tonnes, the ministry said.
